Very nice Zin. Ripe red fruit and spice, medium tannin and acidity balanced with a very reasonable level of alcohol. Pairs wonderfully with grilled meats and BBQ.

This Zin is really produced by Geyser Peak, although the XYZin production is under a different winemaker (Ondine Chattan.) I did the reserve private tasting at Geyser Peak and they included this little gem which blew my socks off. I would put it right up there with a Ridge Zin. Although a bit young still, it showed tremendous concentration of fruit and excellent tannic structure and body. I had to bring some home.
