Queue Darth Vader's theme song, the dark side is strong with this one. Juicy and approachable this is a delicious wine though not especially complex today. Dark fruit not tannic and one of the better 03's I've tasted in a long time.

Griotte-Chambertin Dinner (Graham Elliot - Chicago IL): Tasted single blind. Open approx 4 hours, half in decanter. Fairly easily identified in the context of the other wines in the flight. Blackberry, black cherry, some liqueur hints, incredibly lush and concentrated. Great fresh herb and spice, showing thym, licorice and black pepper. I don't think I've had this wine since shortly after release, but it's just as great now as back then, and I would expect it will continue to be sensational for a long time going forward.

Casual Dinner, Mostly Burgundy and Rhone (David Burke's Primehouse - Chicago IL): Stunning wine. Incredible dense dark fruit with hints of chocolate. Incredible length that evolves and unfolds with spice, minerality and more layers of fruit. I expected a more extracted, riper wine but this showed incredible balance. I can only imagine how wonderful this will be in another 10-15 years. Complete consensus WOTN.
