  • Still youthful. Poured after, without my knowledge, a 2000 Sauternes. I thought, well f*ck, i wanted to pour this before, but I wasn't in charge. So I started pouring it after, saying this one has more balance between sweetness and acidity than the last wine and those who I poured first came up to me and said, 'I don't care if you haven't poured this for everyone, I want more. Now.' so, yes, this is good wine, no where near its peak. The left side of the bell curve. Mario, you done good, son.

2012 German Catalog, 6/1/2012, (See more on Terry Theise Estate Selections...)

(Reuscher-Haart Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Spätlese) ($24.00) Smells like an entire apple cellar. Remarkable density, and below the tightly coiled malic fruit is equally tightly coiled malic acidity. The ‘10 saltiness is very strong here, and it has that uncanny paperweight density. *

(Weingut Reuscher-Haart Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Spätlese) Light yellow color; ripe peach, apple nose; tasty, tart peach, mineral palate; medium-plus finish
