Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Wow - brilliant wine, we all truly loved it (out of magnum). The wine has almost nothing to do with fruit. Its there, blackberries, let's say, but the wine showcases the mineral aspect of Cote Rotie. Stone everywhere, permeating the aromatics, and the flavors, which are otherwise bloody and ferrous, and tarry. The wine is perfectly balanced and truly a delight to drink, fresh. One companion said refreshing. Great wine, and unlike almost everything I've had from Cote Rotie.
