  • I was positive about this wine 8 years ago and I'm even more bullish now. Ripe indeed, for the grape, but there's a nicely balanced influx of herbal frit and nettles. The core of plush red fruits is impressive. Tails a little so need to keep but this is a winner by a large margin.

  • I wonder is this a really ripe example? Kinda like a very full bodied Langrein - ripe cherries, minerals and acid, pepper and a little heat. All really interesting. Tightly bound, very 'northern Europe', and seems to be drinking well at 4yrs of age.

  • Not tasted blind, but this could be a fucking Aussie Shiraz - fairly easy. Has a powderiness on the nose that Moi ID's, but any herbal character is practically hideen under the sweet fruit. Palate is smooth, no texture, no astringency, sweet fruit and a slightly-sickly sweet oak finish. Ergh. Dull. We could not even drink a glass.
