Has plenty of spice to the aroma along with earth, meats and red fruits. It is cool and rocky in the mouth with a strong minerally spine. There are crisp red and black fruits and it is fine and lacy with a strong, savoury finish. It should age beautifully and has excellent balance.

I've been disappointed one too many times by the Burgundy GC QPR. I'm going to retire from this region for the time being. On the light side, candied cherry not much complexity or body.

Still a bit burly and gritty. Needs another 5+ years to come together and a rare 2010 that isn't at least somewhat approachable.

Lovely juice but definitely on the lighter side - will it ever be really Grand Cru complex?
