Very nice both with and in our beef stew. Not exceptional, but a very pleasing pinot with a lightness that is somewhat surprising. Give an hour for the heat to blow off though.
It’s time to drink the last few bottles now.

This is a very well made Bourgogne - and just what it should be. That it is still good more than 10 years post vintage speaks volumes. Pale blackish red, with substantial bricking now. Nose cranberry and sour red cherry remains. Seems more Beaune than Nuits, perhaps even challonaise. Mushroom notes and a bit of herbal - perhaps rosemary. Palate balanced, with plenty of acid supporting and maintaining the fruit. Mineral and some rounded, integrated tannings toward a moderate finish. You will never mistake this for a Richebourg or Gevrey - but that isn't the point - and the producer didn't make this wine as if they had that kind of fruit. I feel bad not going over 90, because it is so well done for what it is - but the level of complexity does not warrant it. But I'm really happy to have a couple more bottles in the cellar. No real hurry, but I doubt it's growing at this point.

89+. Showing a little maturity: nose lovely and complex. In mouth, superb balance of well-integrated acid and a touch of tannin making the mouthfeel quite delicious. Near its peak. Lovely flavours.

This was excellent. Light, earthy, bright berries, and a decent finish.
