A bit close immediately after cork pull, but cam around nicely with a half hour of air. Rhône like with California flair. I suggest drinking within the next 2 years.

This needed a little bit of time, but came around nicely. Rich and well structured, with no sense of letting up. Reminded me of a Northern Rhone with out that peppered salami on the nose. Drinking about as good as it gets now, maybe 1-2 years left in this zone before i imagine it starts to decline

Dark and inky ruby color. Nose showing dark berries, pepper, floral notes and minerals. Savory palate showed blackberry, blue fruits, olives, tobacco, baking spices. Nice minerality through the mid palate holds it together nicely. Medium/long finish.
This is in a really good spot now, but seems it should drink at this level for a bit. Best guess is this will be at its best over next 5 years, well cellared bottles could go longer. Great with grilled meats and veggies...

Opened at home; brought to a restaurant; shared with friends over 2 hours,;no detailed notes taken. Everything was ready from the get go and continued to improve over the night. Lots of pepper, blackberry, blueberry, and just enough bits of olive juice, tar, and coffee to bring in some savory elements. Drinking very well at this point. Sadly my only bottle.

This Syrah fills the head with tobacco leaf and berry bomb richness. The spicey minerality balances it out nicely, making it a great food wine. A few more years chained up in the dungeon will give this wine an opportunity to blossom into something very special.

Dinner at Big Table Farm with Clare, Brian and friends (Big Table Farm - Salem, Oregon): This was an interesting wine, a real treat. Knowing the quality of the fruit source, grapes shipped to Oregon to be crushed...
