In the decanter an hour prior to drinking. Savoury, a little spicy, mocha and cedar oak. Good little inoffensive Coonawarra shiraz, although not much complexity to it and the finish is a bit short. In its window, drink over the next 2 years.

100% Shiraz aged in French and American oak for 18 months. Plum, vanilla and tobacco on the nose. Full bodied. Rich and intense with plenty of white pepper and a very fresh acidity.

Crumbly cork had to be dug out. Wine was past its best, dark flavors, mild tannins and didn’t finish

Visits to Most of the Cellar Doors in Coonawarra; 7/21/2012-9/8/2013 (Coonawarra): Some aged character on the nose. Lots of red fruit and vanillin oak. Subtle for a Coonawarra shiraz, but has some power lurking.
