very difficult wine.on opening it's closed. it's wine colored and it tastes like-----nothing you want to take a second sip of. but you do and it's better--not enough to make you want the rest of the glass, but enough to encourage you to save it for a second night. On the second night it magically turns into pinot. not great pinot, but drinkable. air and time do seem to help--I'll give my four remaining bottles another several years before trying again. not very well integrated now.

- Garnet color - Excellent Pinot that is very terroir driven. The quality of the winemaking expresses the amazing Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir grape. This is a great region for some of the best American Pinot.

We've been letting this vintage age but it's awesome now! We had it with grilled pork and it was perfect. We also agreeed it would be excellent alone. The color is amazing for a Pinot! Deep ruby red. The nose was intoxicating. This not a typical Pinot. It's very complex and intense.

Dark garnet in glass, with rich aromas of red fruit and spice. Palate shows flavors red raspberry and Bing cherry, and an earthy element not unlike a more extracted Cote du Nuits profile; nicely balanced with acidity and background flavors of cola and Asian spice, along with a lingering finish. Delicious.

Very impressive bouquet. Satisfying finish. To my taste, the acidity is a BIT of high for a pinot, but we enjoyed it very much.
