  • for a bargain bin price in a non optimum Cabernet Sauvignon friendly year, 2 Vines lays a very easy to enjoy table wine that easily goes with appetizers of cheese and cracker, veggies and Chicken cutlets for my nieces 2nd birthday. These are wines you buy by the case as they have the strength to last 5 years are easy to drink with anything or solo and don't suck full of major flaws. Columbia Crest really lifts the entry level wine games as does WA State other massive wine maker CSM. Think red and black fruits with a touch of mocha and baking spices likely from oak chips. Mellow tannin with low but pleasant acids. This is budget wine that doesn't sacrifice quality and for twenty something starting to drink real varietals gaining experience with vintages CC is great place to start.

This stuff kicks two buck chuck straight in the teeth for just over $7 on sale or good pricing.

  • Not bad for the price.

  • Dark fruit, black currant, chocolate on the nose. Blackberry, black currant, some coffee and cocoa on the palate. A lighter style Cab, and though not particularly complex, it is enjoyable and an excellent value for $7.

  • nose: loads of cedar, coffee, toast. berry preserves.

palate: blackberry jam on burnt toast with a nice cup of coffee [almost literally]. good acidity backbone. sharp little tannins. med-short woody finish and the alcohol really kicks at the end.

rough, but theres a lot of flavor, and for 5 bucks you could do exponentially worse

  • Loads of berry and currant aroma and flavor, unfortunately the wine is flabby and a bit on the sweet side.
