On the roller coaster. Slight petrol aroma and flavor right around the wine. It didn't turn me off as it was paired with a strongly marinated king salmon. Light sweet yellow tree fruit and medium plus weight.

The bottle variation is mind boggling. This bottle was terrific and varietially correct. This bottle is a super value but after three bottles, none remotely similar, it's tough to recommend.

The Blue Fin Pinot Noir was so well received that I decided to try their 2012 Viognier. I was afraid this would prove to be something syrupy sweet and flabby, and am glad to be wrong. This is not textbook Viognier. The nose actually has the smell of Granny Smith apple acidity with less floral notes than I expected. There is a bitter, but not all the way decimating, start, to the honeysuckle influenced peach, pear, and pineapple fruit. That bitter flavor extends through the mid palate in a just cracked walnut shell sort of way. As you drink down the glass, this wine grows on you in a raw, but tasty way. Honey and acid on the finish.

Faint yellow. It doesn't follow the profile of a viognier, more like a sauvignon blanc with sweet tree fruit and not a lot of acid. Enjoyable none the less. Perfect sangria mixer.

Got some petrol notes which leads you to believe this is a Riesling. Sweet pear flavor and not enough acid to balance.
