Nice wine but not getting better it seems as this bottle was a bit less interesting than the last. Signs of Cab Franc all over with the green herbal and veggie notes and some chocolate on the finish. Well done but but not as interesting as I had hoped. Dense texture but not excessively dense or ripe. Good balance. Enjoyable with grilled Salmon but less so than the previous wine from the 2009 vintage of Evening Land Pinot.

Inky, viscous and velvety smooth. With the peppery hallmarks of a Loire cab franc. Exactly what I expected based on other tasting notes here. Thumbs up.

In my cellar since release. Decanted at 4pm and tasted through 8pm. Best with an hour+ of air. Medium dark garnet color with no sign of bricking. Nose and palate are herbal and floral with mixed red fruit and a bright acid and mineral backbone. Not especially tannic. Moderately long finish. Easy to drink both with and without food. Lovely wine and better than the cuvée Violette by a good margin.

Quite developed. Classic cab franc, pepper, forest fruit, black olives. Not very generous, but correct in it’s style.
