Too many wines for a Wednesday (Kevin's house): Green apple on the nose, a touch of it on the palate. The palate is more creamy and rich. A fellow taster categorized it as lemon oil, and that is a great descriptor. Buttery fresh butterscotch. There is a medicinal harshness or bitterness on the finish. It had really nice acidity.

A Big Wine Wednesday Afternoon (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light medium gold color. Drank 1+ glass over 40 minutes. I loved the nose on this, gorgeous lemon, lemon oil, spie, and some mineral. On the palate there is the same lemon oil and oily texture, so nice, along with a bitter nutty quality that is at once both interesting and vexing. Probably at a good point to drink my last bottles, and definitely better than the last bottle. And as an aide, i will say that there was not a drop left to share when my wife got home...ergo, it wasn't too shabby.

Hanging out at Kevin's (Rocknroller): Nose: Lemon oil and some old wood chest. Palate: Lemon hints as this is mature. Somewhat bitter but not overwhelming. Pleasant but drink up. 89+ points.

I have to admit to liking this more than R&R. Perhaps it was because I was enjoying my Tila fish taco so much with it :) I'm surprised I didn't notice the early premox too. I trust R&R's assessment. I was likely on roll talking music with Bill and not paying enough attention to this wine at that moment.

A Tour Through France Tuesday at Tilia (Tilia, Mpls): Light medium gold color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Mild oxidative notes, lemon, lemon peel, hints of butterscotch and nuts. The palate shows mild oxidation, lemon, apple, fairly round, a bit buttery, mild oak, fairly smooth on the finish.
