We loved this wine for the complexity it offers and the softness it delivers which I attribute to its Bordeaux style blending. But if you still like the new world boldness and presense of fruit then you will love this. While decanting the nose of black cherry wafts from the decanter. After a few minutes of decanting (no we were not very patient) we poured a glass and as my wife said, she could just sit there and sniff it all night. But that didn't last long as she sipped and quickly followed that with an approving "mmmmmmmmmm". The fruit on the front of the palate quickly was replaced with the french oak and mild tanic cocoa fininish. We did differ in our ratings, she went straight to a 95 but compared with other 95's I have had I would give this a more modest 91. The art of compromise leads us to a 93. I'm sure further aging will help but it is quite approachable right now.

Started out pretty good but this wine faded out after a couple hours open. Time to drink these now.

Balanced and soft in texture, deep brick red, has integrated tannins. Dark red fruit consistently through palate, long finish.
