Was great to taste this again, as it's been some time since I had a bottle. Creamy, pear and apple, citrus and a nice drying finish. Went fantastic with the kale/radicchio salad we paired to it. Retasted the next day and it maintains the intensity and zingy energy, showing some lemongrass and fig (maybe from the Sauv Blanc?), along with citrus/lemon skin. Holding up well, and like all the Matthiasson whites we had during the dinner, this is low on the ABV scale, shows no overt wood and it pairs with food. Genius.

Matthiasson Dinner (FMIII in the OC): This was a top 5 wine for me in a past falltacullar and it showed very well again tonight. It's low alcohol with a light, dainty mouthfeel. Nose is yellow apple but the palate adds a lime twist. This is a blend of lots of interesting grapes and put Matthiasson on the map. Cool stuff.

Honeysuckle, pear, peach and lemon on the nose. Lemon tartness, bright, lively, melon , peach juice , hint of grapefruit and grass, and finishes with fresh pineapple.

I wish I would have drank it all yesterday. Instead, I just had 1/2 glass. Then, it was full of bright, wonderful acidity, with both intriguing aromatics and flavors. Today (day 2) it was nothing more than a slightly unique Sauv. Blanc. 90+ on day 1 ; 87 on day 2.
