Oh yeah. Another spectacular nose on a Duroche 2012. Intoxicating. High tones. Refined. Red fruits. Dark cherry. Floral. Elegant and light on the palate. Red fruits. Sour fruits. Cherry. Brambles. More complexity than the already delicious straight gevrey village. This has been drinking great for multiple years, but certainly benefitted from some age.

This seems to have settled a bit since my last bottle just over a year ago. Knockout nose of earth, spice, and a lovely floral element. Dark black cherry fruit, a lick of oak. Notably rich and hedonistic on the palate, more of that black fruit and oak, impeccable balance though with fresh acidity and fine tannins almost imperceptible behind the rich fruit extract, which is by no means excessive. A superb expression of the vintage and just delicious.

Aromatic nose of earth and minerals. Serious perfume, like the Rousseau that preceded it, but with a bit more in the tank. Mid -palate density and tension. This wine is not ready - acidity and tannins are angular - but it’s balanced the perfume is just fabulous and all the elements are there

Fresh fruited and starting to come into the partially developed phase. Delightful and perfect to drink right now. Textbook Gevrey village wine. Red fruits, elegance, intensity and concentration on both the nose and palate. Floral notes, umami and forest floor. Wonderful wine.
