Decanted for about an hour. Threw off a minimal amount of sediment. Tannins seem pretty well integrated. A little dusty, but drinking well right now. I'd drink up.

Consumed over 2 days. Nose is bright red fruit, graphite, dusty, tight. On the palate, it is a bit tight but opened up with air and time. Medium to full body, flavors of currant, other red fruits, very smooth and tannins just about fully integrated. Very nice with porterhouse steak. Solid 90, purchased on clearance for $40. Not bad for the price but would have been disappointed had I paid more.

A nice wine. Red and dark fruits, oak, spice, a little licorice, mineral notes and some licorice. I do get the Italian influence (winery ownership) but a nice expression of Napa, too. Can drink now but probably better with time.
We had with Wagu steak leftovers - a perfect pairing!
I bought this on sale for $26 (750 ml) and it was a terrific buy at that price, for the "unloved" 2011 vintage.

Drinking well right now. This is up a tad from my earlier rating.
