Lovely nose of roses, violets, and a whiff of tar. Drinking very smoothly with well integrated tannins and good complexity. This was first tasted after a three hour decant. On the next day the wine was just as good if not more complex. I'm in no rush to drink my last bottle.

After a 2-hour decant, this had the tannins, acidity, and body one would expect from such a Barolo, but the fruit was shy. I detected some strawberry, black cherry, and black raspberry, but most people, with less sensitive palates, would have found it hard to find those. After another hour, the flavors deepened, and more fruit emerged. This struck me as an older-school Barolo that needs more time to come around. This was my last bottle of this wine.

Into a decanter at 1:00 pm for dinner tonight. Poured a small glass at 4:30. A bit rusty red but still very opaque. The nose is showing fresh cut flowers, violets, Nd strawberries. The tannins attack you and cover up the fruit. Needs more time hopefully it will calm down more as it sits in my glass. It’s mellowed out with time in my glass but it very dilute. I drink a lot of Nebbiolo’s and this is in the bottom 10%. Glad I have only another 2 bottles. Cooking wine.
