  • Great quality! Great wine! Enjoyed the great Bolognese at Modo Mio and a quick decant, although probably not necessary.Cinnamon and a variety of blue and other dark fruit. Not getting better than this .This is why I love Cade.

  • This one was a screwcap. What a beast of a wine!!! This is my first time tasting the CADE reserve, I had only had the estate up to this point. I honestly had not been super impressed with the two estate wines I had tasted so far so hopes weren't super high for this wine but it def exceeded expectations. I disagree with the previous comment about the estate being a better value, I think this wine is many levels above the estate. This is a big, teeth staining cabernet, just the way I like it. The wine is huge and the fruit was still very evident for an 11 year old wine, with an extremely long finish. With the screwcap, this seems to be ageing at a glaciers pace. It tasted like a 5 year old wine, not 11. I honestly think at $220 this is a decent value compared to where Napa cabs of this level typically run. I'm glad I got two of the 2019s.

  • Well structured but not getting much better with age unfortunately. Tons of fruit still, and tobacco. Tannins are well balanced and show up in the finish. The estate is turning out to be a much better value in general for Cade and definitely true here. Really easy drinking and delicious but not what I would want from the price or vineyard.

  • At PNP this is very muted on the nose & palate. The mouthfeel is smooth and the finish is very nice. I had to stand outside in the fresh cool air that is blowing in from the North to pick up the slightest hints of dark chocolate/cherry & tobacco/mint. Almost like an after eight before first bite. On the savory side and not a lot of fruit showing. Big contrast from the Lithology To Kalon the night before.
