Decanted for an hour, drank over four. Deep magenta color. Nose of sour cherry, cranberry, dried thyme and oregano. On the palate, rustic tannins, high acidity, 12.5% alcohol, but mouth filling and wonderfully textured. Delicious, fresh, and showing no real signs of age.

Wine Tasting Group - No Theme - Feb. 22, 2020 (My place): Bright herbal aromas with cranberries and a hint of earth. Ripe blackberries on the palate with earth, bark, herbs. Lots of bass notes on the palate with prominent tannins on the midpalate and mildly hot finish. Dense palate. Label notes 12.5% but felt more like 14.5% abv. Big and broad for sure but didn't feel spoofed or overmanipulated. Leftovers were better on day 3 with greater harmony of flavors and resolution of the hot finish. 88 on day 3.

PnP; 750ml; young dark crimson opaque color, no bricking; Aromas of dark fruit and herb crusted pork loin; black cherry and plummy flavors with a savory character (like soy) and a hint of orange acidity; Flavors linger well with good tannins, acidity, and length. The only Charbono I have ever had so I have no comparison on what it should be. I would drink again if offered but might not purchase again based on other wines with brighter profiles which are available.

Drank over two nights. Big deep purple with a woody aroma. First night a lot of tannin and acidic bite. Good fruit. Second night a transformation. Smoother and more fruity. Enjoyed quite a bit.

Tasted like the fermented juice of an undried raisin. Fruity with a splash of elegance. A bit tannic, could use a bit more time in the bottle.
