A slight touch of TCA in the background, but that blows off. Otherwise huge white pepper, smoke and dark fruits dominate. Not as good as the ‘12, but enjoyable in a rustic sorta way. $30 from Winebid.

Had higher expectations for this CdP. Costco's wine buyer has had a great run recently, supplying quality CdP in the $30-40 range. Have enjoyed al the others, but this one lacked character, featured less fruit, was thinner and a little chalky. But still all in all, a good bottle of wine, I'll just be choosing other CdP for the same price.

Light to medium body. Showing black & green olive notes, heavy earthiness with some dark fruit. Solid mid-price point Chateauneuf du Pape.
