  Like Ali, my first bottle drank very well. Still plenty of life (these Nervi Gattinaras are so amazing that way). Nose was wonderful (better than the palate) - all menthol, leather, and rocks (more rocks than tar...). Palate was less complex, and leanish of course (it's a Gattinara!), but bright with acidity and without even a hint of an off note. Even without an appropriate pairing (this was consumed with cheese and charcuterie, not ideal...) this was super enjoyable. With a proper pairing, say a nice risotto, the light, bright acidity here would really make this shine.
