Had a glass over lunch at the estate. Fairly rich and ripe, and hence not necessarily my prefererred style of Pinot but I liked this for what it is. Tannins are much smoother and better integrated than the Long Gully

During a cellar door visit. A bit all over the place. First in the nose on the ripe side with cooked fruit, then on the palate with bitter finish and drying tannins. Felt pushed. Overall the visit to Mt.Difficulty was underwhelming, especially after the great wines from Felton Road.

Central Otago Visiting - 2018 Early Spring (Central Otago): Ripe dark fruits, nice earthy, dry herbals and savoury notes. fine grained velvety tannins, brooding style, reflects warm and dry climates, all mellowed well. m+ finish with some spices, mocha and creamy notes. BC 94
Ap 5/5, Ar 13/15, Palate 17/20, Overall 4+3/10 Total 92/100

OMG I loved this. The 3rd of their 3 single vineyard wines we brought back in 2015. It aged beautifully.
