Only a short time to air before consumption. Cherry/raspberry nose with a bit of an earthy note. The fruit darkens on the palate with raspberries and nice mineral notes. Fine, firm tannins, excellent acidity and balance. A bit of spice creeps in on the mid-palate. Finishes long with berry fruits and nice minerality. Needs 3 to 4 years before drinking or a long decant. Big upside if you are patient.

Disclaimer: it should have been opened 2 hours at least before tasting but was only decanted 15 minutes before the first sip). Still, a big and elegant wine. Medium ruby. Nose: earthy (forest undergrowth, mushrooms, truffles), tart black currant jam and sour cherries. Big nose. Palate: more tangy wild berries compote. Tightly knitted tannins. The wine opened up progressively over 2 or 3 hours but remained a little be tight (still young?). Great elegance and power though. A great wine.

Blinded, and it was super bretty. Medium dark fruit, and actually a nice texture to the wine. Can't quite get past the brett tho.

Joyaux en Côte de Nuits (Marsannay/Gevrey-Chambertin) - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Complexe Sportif Gevrey-Chambertin): Tasting, brief note. The single wine in the lineup that came across similarly to when tasted from barrel last summer. All black fruit with good concentration and moderate spice. Elegant structure in very good balance. VG+ 91-92 point potential.
