Plum and currant fruits with notes of coffee and anise. Dense and full, but also restrained. At age 10, it’s not a bit tired but it’s hard to project it gaining much from here.

Big nose displaying a lot of menthol, pencil shavings, wet stone, forest floor and a bit of blueberry. Very earthy. Broad shouldered and dense on the pallet with a lot of BDX character, with savory notes of herbs, tobacco and smoked meat. Fairly good concentration and decent length on the finish. Certainly made in a more old world style than most coming out of Napa. Can use at least a few more years to come together.
Herb Lamb Tasting (Herb Lamb Vineyards): Dark ruby color in the glass. Nose of blackberry and dark plums. On the palate dark and red fruited in profile, with earthiness, still very young and muscular. This will absolutely improve with time in the cellar - all the stuffing to age beautifully. Looking forward to pulling a bottle in 10 years. Just lovely.

Not a ton of fruit. But nice structure. Not worth the exorbitant price.

Hold. obviously.
mint/menthol nose. loads of blue fruit, with some spice/herbs. Lots of structure to balance the intensity. needs lots and lots of sleep time.
