A light Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley. Cherry and bright red fruit flavors up from but not the long lingering finish we have experienced with other Anderson Valley Pinots (Handley and Walt). As a 2013, it might have just started to turn the corner.

Goldeneye Pinots can be an acquired taste but they never disappoint and the older vintages have held up well. Time to drink this now or over the next 12 months as the quality may begin to fade. Lots of fruit with a smooth finish. Enjoy!

The one thought that keeps coming out is “one dimensional”. Tasty enough and pleasant. Ripe, but kind of uninteresting red cherry. Maybe low acidity which is adding to a flatness. Just not my deal but not flawed.

Deep dark red big body (14.5%) wine, Floral nose followed by black cherry and raspberry fruit with a hint of plum. Great finish to this super wine.
