Silky malbec rife with bramble berries, violets, and terrific soil notes. The wine's minerality reminded me of many Pessac-Leognan/Graves wines I've enjoyed over the years. Acidity was crisp, and refreshing.
Tannins fully resolved. Fruit and oak is in unison and the wine is probably at its peak. Two or three years here and then downhill. Enjoy!

Just pop and pour. No doubt it is a great Malec. By now this bottle is nine years Old, dark red with violet subtons. Medium quantity legs, coming down medium to fast. Aromas of prunes, dry figs and a more pronounced aroma that I can’t distinguish. At taste round, spicy and mellow. Short to medium finishing. Balanced acidity and subdued tanning.

A lovely Malbec. Dark purple red. Lively, racy acidity and attractive minerality. Blackberries and some blueberries, bitter dark chocolate, dried garrigue, flecks of tobacco, new leather and earth. Flavour complexity and detail. Touches of vanillin, spicy oak, quite well integrated. Ideally hold for 2-3+ more years. Seamless tannins, decent concentration and sufficient mid palate weight. A leaner expression and, in my opinion, all the better for it. Alcohol 14.5% ABV not over-prominent. A wine to match with food, attractive on a restaurant list. 93+.

25th Annual Lyon 10 Year Retrospective (Lyon Down Inn): Deeply black fruited with stone and olive hits that made it stand out. Hints of plum and tobacco. Fell off a fair amount on day 2 = 90pts. Now-2025.

An excellent malbec with a nose of leather, black fruits, violets. Great black fruits and a complex taste on the palate. Long finish.
