  • Tasted after a two hour decant. Dark ruby in colour with a definite garnet hue and lovely aromas of slightly herbal sweet black fruit with leather & liquorice. On the palate, full bodied juicy black fruit, blackberry/cassis/black cherry, dried fruit, liquorice & chocolate, herbal, well integrated oak, medium acidity, high soft tannins with a long finish to juicy black berries & leather. Excellent aging flavours & still some cellar life available, but drinking superbly now!

  • Clear ruby red with garnet showing on the edge. Still enjoyable, but I think it is probably a little past its peak. Notes of tobacco, leather, and prunes. Still nice acidity, smooth tannins, and med body. Not sure what the 2014 vintage was like in BC, but I have had older BC wines showing more life than this wine.

  • Beautiful brick / crimson colour, this is a true Bordeaux style. Notes of cherry, cigar box, cedar. Paired with a grilled tenderloin. Glad I waited! Drinking beautifully, lots of life left yet!

  • Showing nice development 8 years in with tobacco cedar and cooked plums The palate adds notes of black cherry and leather. The tannins are still bold this will continue to cellar 3-5 years

  • Solid dark colour, showing some age. The alcohol overpowers the fruit, both on the nose and palate. Notes of table grapes, dehydrated raisin. It needs at least a 2 hour decant. Fruits don’t come through until the finish. The complexity is not where it needs to be for what this cost, or the immense patience I demonstrated by not opening it until 2022.

I’m going to start charging my wine rent for sitting in my cellar!
