Very good Barolo from one of my favorit cru Villero. Classic with ripe tannins, still some fruit, leather, hay and a long lasting finish. Has not reached his peak yet and I ecpect it in 5-10 years.

Much browner than expected. Seemed oxidized, with typical sherry aromas. Has a little life on the palate but not the expected depth. I would have though off bottle, but the last 3 notes characterize this as rather advanced and brown. Maybe a premox issue?

Super enjoyable! Short decant, brownish brick color. Beautiful aromas of leather, red fruit, plum, underbrush. Palate is well balanced, red fruits, leather, dry oak, good on its own or food, medium body, medium acidity

Based on my tasting note from two years ago, I should have consumed this last bottle 23 months ago! Does anyone go back and read their tasting notes? Anyway...
Decanted. Noticeable browning on the rim. Color reminiscent of that worn maroon blazer from parochial school. A nose that reveals a 14.5% alcohol level. All that said, well balanced and round in the mouth. The heat on the finish though is off putting. Let's get it a try and see if it softens in time...
This is a wonderful wine with delicious notes of strawberry coulis, raspberry jelly, and charred broccoli rabe. Opened and poured with no decant. Light on the palate.
