Darker than typical PG, with golden hue. To the nose, white flower and honeysuckle - not much fruit; very slight pear and peach. On the palate, honey, pineapple, pear, peach and apple for fruit with neither taking the lead, but also with notable ginger. Fuller and rounder that coats the mouth. The length is moderate, with a blast up-front then a faintness to the end. A slight tartness just past midpoint. No lingering taste past this up-front moderate length. Our first Alsace PG purchase. Different than stereotype PG.

Wine Tasting Nightmare (Total Wine, Tempe, AZ): What happened to Albrecht Pinot Gris? My memory of their wines puts them in the same category as Trimbach for quality. Maybe it was this vintage? This was tasteless with no aroma. For a similar price, try a Trimbach PG instead.

Yellow delicious apple, honeydew melon, peach with a touch of green pepper, and pencil lead. Slightly off dry.
