I apologize if the following sounds like hyperbole, or insider fake review. I swear, it's for real....
It's seldom I get truly excited by a wine. I love the stuff, but pee your pants excited is once every 5 years. Maybe.
It admit that I was fascinated to see the dry farmed, head trained vines on such steep hills on shattered shale soil. (Shay dat 5 times fast).
Wonderful on the nose, it actually wakes you up. This is the smelling salts of wine. Not harsh, but wakes up ALL your senses.
Syrah, Grenache, and a touch of Petite Sirah. Berries and cherries and plums and goes on and on.
I hope so much that the other offerings are as amazing. I can only imagine what age might do for this wine. Too bad I drank it!
I was impressed at the tasting, and it was one of two I joined out of 15 fantastic vineyards on this trip. And it didn't disappoint once I got it home and in the cellar. He shoots, he scores!!!
Sorry, Stanley Cup Playoffs...

Decanted 1/2 hr. Consistent lively tastes of cherry & darker berries. Interesting blend. Not quite as good as when it was tasted at the winery.
