Bright and juicy cherry all the way. Dried herb, hints of tobacco. Rustic, with rough edges but clean (no brett). Moderate balanced acid, minimal tannin.

Last bottle of this wine, no complaints, pleasant nebbiolo-blend intensity, great freshness, certainly drinkable at 4 years, probably would have been fine for another 20+.

50% Nebbiolo 35% Barbera 15% Croatina. Barbera and croatina aged 12 mo in 3x-used French barriques and nebbiolo for 12 mo in large 2500L oak barrels. Decanted for 1h. Initially aromas were dominated by spices and earth followed by red fruits w palate following. Now after air and warming, more tart cherries come to the fore. Palate also has red and black cherries, followed by spices and earth. Really nice acids give this lift with a lighter elegant mouthfeel. Nice finish. Really went nicely w simple dinner of garlic nan, spanish chorizo, and tomatoes in olive oil.

Transparent garnet. Shy nose, but lovely fresh red-fruited palate, nebbiolo shows up in the persistent and gippy finish, enjoyed with spaghetti ragu.
