Took 30 minutes to open up. Unfortunately, I was impatient and cracked, poured and sipped a first glass before that! Poor manners by me and my wife I know...long day though...but wait a minute. The second pour was much better. Flabby, but there was some deep baked dark fruit in there. Jammy. Lots of baking spice from the oak and none of the spiciness I expect from Shiraz. So, it soothed the week's damage on a chilly rainy night!

A 6 year old shiraz should be full bodied and interesting. This wine is thin and almost bitey. Wine has no personality and doesn’t appear to have any future

This Shiraz comes from the Barossa Valley in South Australia. The Barossa Valley wine region is one of Australia's oldest and most premier wine regions. Mostly known for producing world class Shiraz and a handful of other varietals such as Riesling, Semillon, Chardonnay, Grenache, Mourvedre and Cabernet Sauvignon.[
This Shiraz from @yalumbawine has a deep purple color and primary aromas of plum, cherry & hebs with secondary aromas of pronounced vanilla and black pepper from being aged in Hungarian, French and American barrels.
The wine has all the characteristics of a Barossa Shiraz in that it has concentrated flavors of plums, violets, red cherries with medium acidity and medium velvety tannins.
Great value at $16.99

Very nice, delicate like a Pinot should be.
