Heavy tart aroma and taste, which did not diminish after 2 hours of breathing. Noticed deep earthy notes, which would have been pleasant had the tartness diminished.

Dry, high alcohol (14%), full-bodied, medium plus acid, high tannins (drying and slightly unripe). Medium plus finish. Slight impression of oak - but mostly used.

Pleasantly darker fruited with some tobacco, but wanting a bit more stuffing. Not a great value.
