  • Antrinkbar!

  • 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, 5% Grenache. Just getting into its stride and beginning to drink well.

  • Perfect cork. Clean nose (previous wine was corked) :)
Wow, this is ripe. More pruney/jammy nose than previous wine, a 2010 Bordeaux. This needs meat. I'm guessing there is a little syrah in this. Quite a smokey note to it. Very good. Big and powerful but still quite French with a very dry finish. This is really good. I will decant and having with rack of lamb, which I think it will match really well.

  • Reddish tinge , slightly bricking. Little sediment. Aromas of cassis, pepper and spice (like faint cloves and orange peel), charcoal/ash. Flavours of cassis, and black fruits with a bit of black tea on the finish for some bitterness. More like dried fruits ... fruit has lost that plump sweetness and is more dried out. Some mineral and sage/herb elements. Some drying tannins, medium to medium minus acidity.
Overall, could have a bit more oomph or heft .... seems lacking a bit, but still tasty and smooth. It is what it is .... what it lacks a bit in complexity, it makes up for in smoothness and tastiness
