Rather interesting. In the Musar/Tondonia space. Easy drinking inspite of high alcohol. After 2 hrs and not too cold, it has a good weight and complexity. Seems to have years of life.

Still drinking beautifully, deep golden color, smooth texture, honey and spices, floral aromatics, a flinty aspect to it. Only one bottle of this left and its the only one I've got remaining from this producer. I think the final vintage produced by the man himself, Fekete Pince, was 2013, so that might be the final one I'll have by him...

Brought to a casual tasting party. At first it wasn't showing much as it was a bit too chilled and also it needed some air. Proper temperature with this is key - too cool and it isn't expressive, but if it's too warm, the alcohol shows. This benefits from air and I'd recommend a decant.

Private Tasting (Private Location): I have to say, that I had a hard time with this wine. I wasn´t convinced in any way by this stuff although it definitely isn´t a bad wine. The whole table rated it higher than me. On the other hand, aren´t these the wines we´re looking for? Controversial and worthy of discussion? The nose is dominated by apple skin, apple vinegar and must with a hot touch of alcohol which always is an absolutely "No go" for me. After some time the nose changed and get a spicy, nutty touch mixed with some quince. On the palate you also immediately recognize the alcohol. Totally dry with a quite nice acidity on a high level. Spicy and smokey in the aftertaste. All in all I would call this a exhausting wine which is hard to drink on its own. Not my cup of tea.
