  This is a fun, very enjoyable wine. For the price point, it’s pulls off quite a few tricks, giving an initial impression of richness (black currant, clove, spice). On closer inspection it lacks much complexity and may show signs of a bit too much work being done post-picking (a lot of oak and blending of Carmenere). All that said, for the money - this is most enjoyable.

  Lilac and plum alongside earthy aromas from the glass. Black cherry, cranberry before hedgerow fruits and wooded notes, cinnamon and leather on the finish. Softly textured with the oak well integrated and gentle tannins. Not massively complex but hugely enjoyable and drinking very well.

  I was eager to pop this due to previous notes, but what a mistake that was! This appeared so dissapointing upon opening, but the wine increased and developed so much as evening went by. So, please wait couple of years if you have this!
