Dark gold color. Nose dominated by oak, vanilla, apple, lanolin, seashell, fresh grass. White peach, vanilla, almond, honey on the palate. Experimented a little with starting this as pnp and champagne- cold. It was very dumb at first but air and a little warmth really brought more out. This reminded me a little of, say, an Albariño (well sort of, a little) but with more depth. It’s not the most hedonistic wine out there but it is rather different and restrained. No clue as to whether it is better to have young or age. Score: 90+? Relative to expectations: 0? Who knows in a few years? I sure don’t.
