  • Awful. A nose of feet and burnt plastic. Watery on the palate and simply undrinkable.

  • When the words acid and burned appear in a reveiw, I tend to stay away. I'll get right to the point...............STAY AWAY!!!!!

  • My first experience of the Verduzzo varietal, to my knowledge, and of a sweet Italian wine (other than Brachetto d'Acqui, Moscato d'Acqui or vin santo). The cork is somewhat dry, leaving particles in the wine. The wine is a very pale straw colour. I believe I detect an odd vegetal aroma, slightly unpleasant, at least at first. I am not used to this varietal. The taste is consistent with the aroma, again at first at least. Sweetness is evident, but not strong or excessive. The taste is better after a few seconds than it is at first. Some fruitiness comes through. There is some aftertaste, and somewhat, but not entirely, unpleasant. Overall, below average.

On second tasting, after a little breathing, the flavour is slightly better. But still idiosyncratic.

Low average rating, for now. I'll see how this wine tastes to me in successive days. Abv 13.5%. I paid ~$11 for a half bottle.
