This was my favorite of the white flight tonight. College grad year for the birthday boy who loves Condrieu. Definitely the oldest Condrieu that I have gotten to taste - but this was in a perfect place. The length on the finish here was outstanding - still had some of that waxy mouth feel, pretty nose and quite layered on the palate. Delicious!

Celebrating 60 (The NoMad): Was very unsure how this would show given the fairly significant age and the fact that I just haven't had a lot of viognier with a lot of age. I'm happy to report that the answer was quite well. Still very youthful. Honeysuckle and round white fruits. Enjoyable.

Has a hint of white mushroom development along with aromas of lavender and dried apricots. The palate has a core of tinned peaches and is layered, voluminous and beautifully balanced. The finish is savoury, dry and long and it is an engaging wine that is at the absolute top of its game.
