So interesting, this wine. Michael Cooke has it right, this wine has very little Nebbiolo varietal character, which leads me to believe that maybe the vinification was unique in some way, maybe carbonic maceration or the must was in contact with the skins prior to fermentation. Maybe there is Brachetto blended in? It’s good wine but I can’t call it good Nebbiolo.
