Very dark (label says yield of only 0.39 tons per acre). Nose is dark fruit, including blackberries, liquor, and a forest element....harmonious and very welcoming. Concentrated with dark fruit and plum jam, concentrated and only medium body. The acid and tannin are well balanced and integrated in this youngish wine. A lovely bottle from a very low volume vintage.

The dark ruby color shows outstanding concentration and ripeness of fruit for a Pinot Noir turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. Quite a difference compared to Jensen Vineyard from the same vintage. The palate is full-bodied, velvety in texture and medium acidity. Flavors of raspberry, cranberry, pomegranate are so ripe and abundant that drinking this wine is such a delight and brings out subtle nuances of rose and cola. Finishes off with smoky limestone mineral notes. Drink now until 2030. 95 pts.
Brief tasting during a walk around of California Wineries, Montreal.
Lots of dark red fruit integrated into mocha, coffee and savoury notes, nothing too green though, more an earthy pinot yet with good concentration of fruit. This needs time, wait 5 years. 92-93

Dream Big - Discover California Wine Tasting (Stockholm, Gamla Riksarkivet (old government archives building) March 2019): Lots of pinosity, spicy, licorice, darker fruit. Very open for business. Recommended.
