Awesome bottle hitting its stride. Really prototypical Napa cab with nice depth, structure, velvety yet fresh. Nice fruit driven nose and finish. More complexity would have put over the top.

Consumed over a 24 hr. period. Half on day 1 – popped and poured after 20 min breathing period. Timid nose, that foretells a smooth and integrated wine, but just hints of violets and blue fruits. Seems to be a typical Stag’s Leap offering. Initial impression 91-92 pt. wine. Smooth, mostly integrated (some heat), but overall, an integrated wine transitioning to an aged wine. Color – bright ruby red but edges beginning to show some browning. Good, strong mid-palate, but no very much length. Fine grain tannins. On the finish, smooth, 20 sec. length Day 2 – 22 hrs. later. My worry - Had this wine vanished? To my surprise, the wine had improved – better nose (violets, blue fruits, more chewy, more structure, better length – a 93 pt. wine.)

Galoots Lunch (Double Zero Napoletano- Sandy Springs): Very nice, silky texture, good depth, slight chocolate, smooth cassis, and ripe dark cherry; in a good place but has plenty of gas in the tank.
