Opened a 2012 Divine and an Estate Cabernet. The Estate Cab is ready to drink and has a variety of fruit flavors and a long finish. The Divine needs time to open and was better on the second day.

Drank over 2 days. The score reflects the 2nd day as day 1 was a PnP and clearly benefits from air. At its peak, it is a deep, rich, velvety wine with a seductive nose. Dark fruit that starts out a bit sweet but sheds the fat with air. Nice layers of flavor develop. Last of my original 3 bottles. Ordered 2 more from Hartwell at monthly sale. Great QPR

Amazing wine. Kept hearing about hartwell as I systematically try to taste all stags leap producers. This is definitely new world but all the good stuff and none of the bad stuff. Full fruit flavor, tobacco, chocolate, dark cherry, but also graphite and gravel and almost pauillac styling. 2012 was just a wonderful vintage, the start of like 5 good vintages. I wouldn't wait on these, so good now.

Decided to try another type of Hartwell, since Realm now owns the property. Divine is from the vines around the Hartwell property that didn't make it into their Reserve and there is a difference between the bottles. Divine is a very good wine. Nice purple coloring, mid-to-full bodied, lot's of blackberry and some blueberry. The tannins are noticeable and it needed to be decanted.
There was a noticeable difference between their reserve and divine. And to me, that's interesting!
