This is the result of a laudable effort to produce a pinot noir red from grapes grown in an area relatively far north for this type of viticulture. This does show in nose and palate as somewhat unripe notes with primary acidity and a bit of green, sauvignon blanc type of fragrance. This being a 2016, a weak vintage in the area, I am looking forward to the 2018 which was for Belgium a more friendly wine growing year.
