Pale straw color, quite aromatic with white flowers, peaches and green apples on the nose. Despite aromas leaving an impression of sweetness, this wine is bone dry, with delicate acidity, lemons and grapefruit on the palate. It’s got decent body due to the alcohol, length goes on and on with a dry, peppery finish which adds to the complexity. Nice QPR here.

WSET Level 3; 11/3/2019-2/3/2020 (San Diego, CA): Tasted double blind, correctly identified as a Torrontes. The following tasting note is identical to what Master of Wine, Lindsay Pomeroy, described to class.
Medium lemon; pronounced intensity, youthful aromas of primary floral (honeysuckle, lilac, acacia, white blossoms), stone fruit (apricot, nectarine, peach), citrus (lemon, lemon zest, tangerine), spice (white pepper) and soap, sardines, iodine. Secondary aromas from lees (biscuit, cheese). Dry, med acid, med body, med+ intensity, med finish, high alcohol. Primary flavors of citrus (lemon, tangerine), stone fruit (apricot, peach), herbal (lemongrass), spice (white pepper, liquorice), floral (jasmine, honeysuckle, blossoms) and salt, soapy, minerals. Secondary flavors from lees contact (yeast, bread dough, biscuit). This is a good wine. Drink now, not suitable for aging.

Clear, pale lemon green in color. Clean nose with medium intensity and aromas of saline, lemon, yellow apple, ripe yellow nectarine and blossom. Dry with medium+ acidity, medium alcohol, medium- body, medium intensity flavors of lemon drop, fresh apricot, saline, and perfume. Long finish. A good wine, best drunk now.

WSET Level 2; 8/20/2019-10/15/2019 (Leoness Cellars, Temecula, CA): Totally unfamiliar with this grape. Pale lemon; chalky white peach, perfume and lavender aromas. Interesting flavors of sardines, black licorice and flint on the bitter palate. Medium acid, medium bodied. Not a fan.
