Popped and poured and could definitely use a decant. A bit hot on the nose with subtle cinnamon aromas. Medium weight with a taut entry. Some cherry pit flavors. Smoothed out with time and let nice red fruit surface. Evident oak provides structure. Enjoyable and perfect on a chilly Chicagoland night.

similar to last note. popped cork an hour before consumption ensued. oak more prominent and a little more depth, roundness over the mid palate which makes for a longer finish. and the mcgah vineyard is better than George III.

Although improved from the last experience, this wine is still not ready, even after two days. Nice nose with a somewhat translucent purple red color. On the pallet the wine is thin and rather suppressed but is no longer acidic this time around. I would hold this wine for now, it's still on a long journey. 92 Points.

no it's not as good as the 2015. but it's really good/borderlined great. reminds me of a myriad g3 wine-red fruit, decent acid. 1 hr decant.
