Older style Barbaresco. (6 months in 2000 ML Slavonian Oak) And yet, drinking very well at 6 years old. I think most Americans age Barbaresco too long. Cool it with the 1970s bottles on instagram! :P
Violet petals, menthol, leather, red cherry, dirt, balsamic, just a hint of oak. Great acid, nice supple tannins. Medium + body. A well structured wine. It could go five or so more years; but I really like this now.
Great pairing with classic Tijuana style tacos (we had carne asada, suadero and tripa this time)

Served blind Scarlet ruby with light rim Black cherry and rose aromas and flavors Fair amount of structure, acid and tannic backbone and alcohol, but very accessible now, especially with food. No doubting it’s origins

Elegant with dark berries, some spiciness and freshness all well balanced. Good , but no strong backbone or power, perhaps in future some potential sweetness may show. 89-90.

Youthful, vigorous Barbaresco, but already giving pleasure. Everything seems in place for good development in the bottle too. 14%
