100% Ruché 🍇was originally from #Burgundy, France brought to #Piedmont 100 years ago.
Floral nose with red fruit plus hints of spice. Reminiscent of a Nebbiolo with an incredible aromatic characteristic, great acidity, crunchy tannins, and a long finish! Damn bloody outstanding for it’s price point. 🍷

First time ever I try a wine made of the ruché grape, and I find it a very distinct grape with its own individual character. Aromatic nose of black and sweet cherries, blueberries, violets, licorice, dusty roads, toasted wood and sweet spices. Big mouthfeel of ripe meaty cherries, good concentration, medium acidity, lots of fine tannins, 15,5 abv, medium finish. Not the style I usually prefer, the fruit a little to ripe and sweet, but I must admit I found it an interesting wine. Good match to a home made pizza, and I would actually love to try this again in a few more years. The wine will probably benefit from 5 years cellaring.

Here I found a dark expression of Ruche, with crushed black cherries and ripe blueberry giving way to sweet spices and alluring dark floral tones. On the palate, I found silky textures with ripe cherry and spice, yet I craved more tension and acidity. The finish was long, showing dried cherry and blueberry, hints of violet, and spice.
